The “Final” Final Bout of 2020

I’m sure that by now many of us wish that the circumstances were a bit different for 2020 but if I am gonna sit here and keep it real, I’m becoming accustom to this way of life. When I get the spare time to actually sit up in this studio and edit a full set of photos or a video from life that was pre-covid I actually get emotional. To me this is why photographers have such an important role, whether we are aware of it or not, we are capturing a moment in time and making it last forever.

The week leading up to Final Bout SSW was strange because the US gov had just labeled covid-19 as a global pandemic and it seemed like every hour there were updates stating that more and more things were getting shut down and just overall an uneasy feeling. One thing that I was worried about was this event getting canceled. Luckily it wasn’t shut down completely but rather closed to the general public. This was weird at first but it was nice to be at an event with my fellow media homies and the drivers. Also big shout out to the folks running Final Bout because at the last minute that had a live stream of the day going on so the people at home didn’t feel so left out of the loop. Just goes to show that we have to make the best out of a shitty and unexpected situation, no matter what.

Enjoy the photos from the day, if you see yourself and want to share some photos feel free to grab them or shoot me a DM for a better resolution.
