Since my return to Southern California from New Zealand I have been doing a whole lot of relaxing at home with my Mrs, the dogs and by the BBQ, but I made it a point to drive down from the Hills Chino to Los Angeles for the “premiere automotive gathering” known none other than WekFest. At first I was like “eh” when I found out there was a charge to enter the venue just because all of the events I’ve ever been to have been free admission, but let me be the one to tell you the this exhibition of fine cars is well worth the price of the ticket. Granted I had never attended a WekFest show, I was very excited to see a bunch of the cars I had seen progress on via IG this past year while overseas.About a year ago I had met the owner of this Z prior to the livery and widebody at a small gathering at Grange, goes to show you that every race car can also be a show car too. I can’t remember homeboy’s name for the life of me but you can follow his many projects on IG @fairladyz_One of the cars I have been itching to check out in person was Danny’s LS and damn was I super pumped to see it all laid out in its glory at the Karuma booth. Such a cool looking car and the owner seems cool too from our DM convos. We are planning on getting a night shoot one of these days somewhere down in the LA area pretty soon so I’m stoked for that day to come. You can shop for some Karuma good to support the brand here. This Porsche is cool, that is all.Big LS featuring big ass 326 Power brakes, its a good look.A lot of people say that the rivet flares are played out but I can definitely digging the Pandem kit on this E30Recently I have been driving to and from work in a car with no stereo so I have had my headphones on and have been revisiting Joey Lee’s podcasts and just absorbing his stories and outlook on things. This dude does a lot and has been through so much recently but it’s cool to hear how he gets through things which is super inspiring. I’m glad he brought out his Y33 to the show, one of these days I hope to catch you and say whats up in person man. Also at the Chronicle’s booth was Derek’s 326 Power Silvia. I first met him back when Abo’s R32 had made it to the states at my friend Ernie’s old shop and recently have been trying to organize a little something something before the car gets shipped back to the Yay area. Still can’t believe this is a drift car, shit is so wild and I love it!Another car that blessed SoCal from the Northern part of CA was @radproduxions 2nd generation IS. I’m going to keep it really real and just say that I have been creeping on this build for a while now, but since I recently picked one of these up as a daily for Steph, it just makes me want to get crazy with it. Rumor has it that it’s staying not too far from where I stay so maybe you’ll be seeing more photos of this sooner than later.Another car that blessed SoCal from the Northern part of CA was @radproduxions 2nd generation IS. I imagine this is what Batman would drive if he was into the VIP scene, just think about it.Can’t forget about @staylurkin07’s Toyota Crown representing both Central Pine and T Demand here in the states.I don’t know the owners name but one time, years ago, I threw a car meet in Chino Hills and @ultraman85 pulled up in this and my jaw dropped, to this day when ever I see his car my jaw just drags on the ground until I look away, which is a task in itself. SR20DET Jeep Cart. FUCK YES!!
